Chernivtsi Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 2 was founded in 1989. First it functioned as city children’s hospital No. 2, rendering medical assistance to children suffering from consequences of environmental disasters: chemical exogenous intoxication and Chernobyl disaster. The hospital has become a center providing specialized medical aid and outpatient assistance to children of the oblast, as well as for ecology-rendered pathologies treatment. The institution promotes healthy lifestyle, researches and analyzes health status of the oblast children, implementing new diagnosing and treatment methods.
The hospital also serves as a research center for organizing outpatient and specialized medical aid, for diagnosing and treatment of ecology-rendered pathologies, and also as a base for research work.
Bed capacity – 90. 37 doctors and 77 nurses work at the hospital.
The hospital takes part in the international program for preventing birth defects.

- Gastroenterology (30 beds);
- Pediatric (30 beds).
