Chernihiv Oblast Children’s Hospital was founded in 1973 as a city children’s hospital and reorganized into oblast children’s hospital in 1976. The hospital provides high-quality medical assistance to children of Chernihiv oblast.

Its total bed capacity is 530. The consultative clinic can receive 150 patients per one shift by 23 specialties. The clinic has a day patient hospital, eyesight protection department, and articulationist’s room. Over 90 doctors and 365 paramedics work at the hospital.

The hospital has a longstanding successful experience of work with the US Foundation for International Professional Exchange, charitable organizations in Great Britain, Germany, and Italy. Doctors from the US, Italy, and Cuba had been working at the hospital. For developing friendly relations with the state of Tennessee, the state governor awarded Head Physician with Chernihiv Oblast Children’s Hospital Oleksandr Kareta a honorary title, Ambassador of Goodwill.

• Contaminated and Septic Surgery (40 beds);
• Isolation Ward (50 beds);
• Isolation Reception and Diagnosing Ward (30 beds);
• Anesthesiology (8 beds);
• Newborns’ ICU (4 beds).
