Kirovohrad Oblast Children’s Hospital was founded in August 1972. Eleven to twelve thousand children of the oblast undergo treatment at this medical facility every year, 28% of them being rural residents. Doctors of 21 specialties render medical assistance to the inpatients. The consultative outpatient clinic receives 70 patients per shift. The hospital has an audiology unit and medical genetics consultative center. The children’s trauma center admits patients round the clock.
The hospital’s total bed capacity is 480, or 80% of all specialized beds for children in the oblast. Around 80 doctors and 300 paramedics work at the hospital.

- Otolaryngology (50 beds);
- Surgery (40 beds);
- Trauma (40 beds);
- Contaminated Surgery (40 beds);
- Intensive Care and Anesthesiology (6 beds).
