Luhansk Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital was founded in 1985. It provides medical assistance at its hospital and outpatient units to 500,000 children in Luhansk oblast. Its bed capacity is 500. Around 160 doctors and 340 paramedics work at the clinic.
At the consultative clinics, doctors in 26 specialties can receive over 100,000 patients per year.
The hospital has an experience of work in international programs: Global 2000 (Austria) and Global Initiative for asthma (the US).
Major areas requiring further development at the hospital are: newborns’ intensive therapy and reanimation; heart diseases prenatal diagnosing; immunological diagnosing of children’s diseases; early medical and social rehabilitation of children with organic lesions of the central nervous system, etc.
