Zaporizhzhia Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital was founded in May 1976. It provides high-quality in- and outpatient care to children of the oblast, renders organizing and methodical support at the oblast’s treatment and prevention institutions, and serves as an advanced training base for doctors and paramedics.

Its bed capacity is 430. Over 120 doctors and 310 paramedics work at the hospital.

Its consultative clinic can receive 200 patients per one shift, providing consultations in 24 specialties.

• Contaminated and Septic Surgery (30 beds);
• Ophthalmology (40 beds);
• Orthopedics and Trauma (60 beds);
• Neurology (45 beds);
• Endocrinology (40 beds);
• Hematology (25 beds);
• Pediatrics (30 beds);
• Junior Pediatrics (30 beds) for children under 3 years old;
• Pulmonology (40 beds);
• Newborns’ and Premature Children’s Pathology (30 beds);
• Isolation Ward (30 beds);
• Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (12 beds);
• Reception Ward providing round-the-clock hospitalization and consultation.

Service Facilities:

• linical Diagnosing Laboratory carrying out clinical, biochemical, serological, and immunological blood tests, cyto-onco-hematological tests, etc. For urgent laboratory tests, the hospital has an emergency laboratory.
• Bacteriological Laboratory researching sterile materials, environmental materials, morbid anatomy materials, etc.
• Physiotherapy Unit carrying out paraffinotherapy, electro-manipulations, magnetotherapy, massage, and therapeutic exercises.
• Functional Diagnosing Unit carrying out ECG, ECG-exercise tests for cardio rhythm disturbance, cardiointervalography, echoencephalography, reflectometry.
• X-Rays Unit carrying out X-Rays and ultrasonic tests for children of the city and oblast.
• Medicine and Sanitary Unit managing intercommunications between the units and the hospital, on the one side, and other medical institutions, on the other.
• Oblast Medical Genetics Center carrying out clinical genetics and laboratory instrumental tests, prenatal ultrasonic congenital defects diagnosing, biochemical and cytogenetic tests. Also provides system guidance to interregional medical genetics units.
• Youth-Friendly Clinics providing comprehensive medical and psychosocial aid to teenagers. Carries out social prevention events aimed at forming a healthy habits. The clinic cooperates with the Juvenile Administration, universities, colleges, etc.
