November 23, 2006, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Institute for Protecting Children’s and Teenagers’ Health at the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in Kharkiv. This institution is member of the Fund’s Hospital to Hospital program.
Mrs. Yushchenko familiarized herself with the Institute’s work, talked to its patients and administration. She presented the Institute for Protecting Children’s and Teenagers’ Health with an Echomotoscop diagnosing system in the value of almost UAH 100,000 ($20,000).
The event was part of Mrs. Yushchenko’s working visit to Kharkiv, whose major goal is presenting the project to create and construct the Children’s Hospital of the Future. A number of visits to children’s hospitals and meetings with Kharkiv students are also on the agenda of the trip.
Among other participants of the trip are members of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund, hosts of Ukraine’s major TV channels, medical professionals, and businesspeople supporting the project to create and construct the Children’s Hospital of the Future.
