May 22, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund took part in a soiree dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the McDonalds’s presence on the Ukrainian market. Among the participants of the ceremony were Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Fundraising Department Oleksandra Mushkudiani, Head of the Press Service Maryna Antonova, McDonalds Ukraine Director General Ihor Dielovy and other company staff members, along with representatives of the authorities, business, public and charitable organizations.
Mr. Maksymchuk congratulated McDonalds Ukraine with the anniversary and read out a letter of greetings from Head of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Supervisory Board Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko.
The McDonalds Company is world’s leader in the fast-food sphere. It is one of the biggest foreign investors in Ukraine, putting up over $83,000,000 into development of its own fast-food restaurants network and our country’s infrastructure.
The Cooperation between the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund and McDonalds Ukraine started in 2005. In this period, two big charitable projects have been carried out. Due to the funds raised in course of the McDonalds World Children’s Day November 20, 2005, a family rooms area was refurbished at the Children’s Oncology Department at the Oncology Institute of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. In 2006, the funds raised at the Healthy Heart of a Child charitable action bought cardiologic equipment for 18 Ukraine’s children’s hospitals.
