Cooperation continues between the Volyn Oblast Children’s Territorial Medical Association and Scandinavia Children’s Mission .

For instance, January 30-31, 2007, supported by President Bosse Wallenberg and Head of the Mission ’s Center in Volyn, member of the VOCTMA Board of Trustees Ms. Loniuk, Chief Specialist with Laser Medicine and Vascular Anomalies Department of the Malmo University Hospital Dr. Agneta Troilius visited the Center.

Mrs. Agneta familiarized the Center’s specialists with treatment methods for children with hemangiomas, port-wine stains, and other vascular malformations using laser equipment. The VOCTMA doctors could attend the Classification and Treatment of Vascular Tumors and Malformations lectures course and get certificates acknowledging this. Besides, Dr. Troilius gave a consultative examination to children from all oblast’s regions.

Besides, in May 2007, due to the joint charitable action by the Chornobyl Foundation in and Scandinavia Children’s Mission , VOCTMA received new medical equipment: V-Star impulse laser () for skin malformations treatment (hemangiomas, cheloid cicatrices, port wine stains, venous lakes, angiokeratomas, etc.) and ORMI microscope for surgeries on otorhinolaryngologic organs (larynx papillomas, nodular cysts, and ear surgeries).
