March 21, 2008, Health Care Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Kniazevych paid a working visit to the Volyn Oblast Children’s Territorial Medical Alliance. The guest was accompanied by Head of the Oblast State Administration Mykola Romaniuk, Head of the Volyn Oblast Council of People’s Deputies Anatoly Hrytsiuk, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Volodymyr Karpuk, and Head of the Health Care Administration Ihor Vashcheniuk.
The minister familiarized himself with the VOCTMA work, its priority areas of work, participation in international projects and in the Hospital to Hospital program by the Ukraine 3000 Foundation.
The minister demonstrated special interest in organizing medical aid for newborns at the neonatology center and prospects for organizing modern perinatal aid. The project for the construction of the Volyn Oblast Perinatal Center was presented to the minister. In addition, the guests visited the centralized clinical microbiology department, familiarizing themselves with modern methods of bacteriological tests.
Minister Kniazevych has left his signature in the Golden Book of the Volyn Oblast Perinatal Center Founders.
