October 13, 2008, members of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation, Head of the Board of Directors Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Development Programs Andriy Kotsiuba, and Director General of the Artek International Children’s Center Borys Novozhylov, visited the Shanghai Women's Federation Medical Clinic.
Representatives of the Clinic displayed their keen interest in the implementation and attainments of the Foundation’s medical programs. The parties agreed to discuss the possibility to involve Chinese doctors into the Hospital to Hospital program in the near future.
Mrs. Soong Ching Ling had once donated her Stalin Prize for creating a specialized medical care program for pregnant women. This laid the foundation for creating a modern medical institution in Shanghai, the Women's Federation Medical Clinic. Over 10,000 children are delivered at the clinic every year.
The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation delegation was to China October 9-13, 2008, on an invitation from the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
In course of the visit, the Ukrainian guests held negotiations with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation representatives and visited a series of Chinese children’s organizations.
