Ukrainian Children’s Doctors Take Part in 2nd Congress of the European Academy of Pediatrics

Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation continues its activities aimed at upgrading qualifications of Ukrainian medical workers within the framework of its Hospital to Hospital program.

October 24-28, with the support of Ukraine 3000 Foundation, two Ukrainian doctors – children’s gastroenterologist with Chernivtsi Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 2 Snizhana Sokolonik and pediatrician with the surgical thoracic department at Vinnytsia Oblast Children’s Hospital Oleksandr Mazulov – took part in the 2nd Congress of the European Academy of Pediatrics in Nice, France.

The Congress discussed issues related to immunology, pulmonology, in part, prevention and treatment of bronchopulmonary pathology in children and vaccination issues.

This trip became possible due to the financial support by Sanofi Pasteur, one of the globally renowned vaccine manufacturers, in pursuance of agreements reached at the meeting between the company representatives and Ukraine 3000 Foundation of March 5, 2008. Earlier, the company has donated hepatitis A, chicken pox, and pneumococcal vaccines to Ukraine’s patient care institutions: the Children’s Clinical Hospital of the Crimean AR, Odesa Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital, Mykolayiv Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital, Chernihiv Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital, Volyn Oblast Territorial Medical Alliance, Zaporizhzhia Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital, Rivne Oblast Children’s Hospital, OKHMATDIT Ukrainian Children’s specialized Hospital, and Institute for Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.
