December 19. 2008, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation carried out a charitable action for the patients of the OKHMATDIT Children’s Onco-Hematology and Marrow Transplantation Center. St. Nicholas and Father Frost came to visit the children staying at the center.
Previously, the little patients wrote letters to St. Nicholas about their dreams and wishes. St. Nicholas assured the children he had received all letters and would grant every wish.
First wishes have already started to come true: the 17-years-old Sashko, whose dream was meeting with Kyiv Dynamo soccer players, was visited by the team’s veteran, the legend halfback of the 1970s Volodymyr Muntian. Mr. Muntian brought the boy presents from Dynamo: sweatsuit, sneakers, soccer ball, and a collector’s edition dedicated to the club’s 80th anniversary.
Children undergoing treatment at the Children’s Onco-Hematology and Marrow Transplantation Center also received their first New Year’s presents from Father Frost – books, educative toys, etc. Also, a computer, karaoke, and a new big-screen TV set were donated for the Cenetr’s playroom.
After that, St. Nicholas and Father Frost talked and played with the children.
