Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation continues its Dreams Come True action, granting wishes of Kyiv oncology centers’ little patients.

February 12, 2009, the strongest man of the planet Vasyl Virastiuk visited the OKHMATDIT Children’s Onco-Hematology and Marrow Transplantation Center. Meeting Virastiuk was Sashko Shtilyk’s dearest wish, as he wrote in his last year’s letter to St. Nicholas.

Having learnt about Sashko’s wish, Virastiuk couldn’t but meet with him. The strongest man in the world brought many presents: various sportswear by his own brand. The boy was happy to meet with his idol, while the meeting turned out very inspiring for Virastiuk, too. Sashko Shtilyk, fondly nicknamed “the Crimean dolphin” at the Center, is an interesting, positive, and optimistic person, fond of sports and reading. Sashko gave to Mr. Virastiuk his favorite stone dolphin figurine as a keepsake.

Vasyl Virastiuk also met with other little patients, giving an autograph and photo session.

Boys from the National Cancer Institute’s children’s department also dreamed about meeting with Virastiuk. The athlete was planning on visiting them, but the boys had already finished their treatment courses and signed out. Thus, Virastiuk left his special presents for them at the department, to be mailed to them in the next future. Mr. Virastiuk might also visit one of the boys at home.
