Donetsk Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital Board of Trustees held a meeting February 19, 2009, summing up the data on charitable aid to the clinic in 2008.
In 2008 Donetsk Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital has received UAH 3,976,162 in charitable aid and donations.
The biggest contribution was made by the Ukraine’s Development Charitable Fund, financing major repairs and complete re-equipment of the reanimation and intensive care units for 12 beds, to the total of 3,348,327.
Among other active donators were Shakhtar FC (108,000 hryvnias), the Industrial Alliance of Donbas (30,000 hryvnias), Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation (29,716 hryvnias), Donetskstal Metallurgic Plant (27,000 hryvnias), and Farmatsiya Business Center (5,500 hryvnias). Also, the Greek Hippocrates Charitable Medical Fund rendered humanitarian aid to the hospital to the total of 71,200.
From Ukraine 3000 Foundation the hospital received in January 2009, as a result of joint action with McDonald’s Ukraine, a first aid kit and electric suction to the total of UAH 29,716. The first aid kit has been used in 144 cases of patients’ transportation by a mobile reanimation team in Donetsk oblast towns and villages. The electric suction is set at the neonatology reanimation unit. From January till July 2008 it had been used 178 times.
