March 3, 2009, the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit reopened at Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Children’s Hospital after major overhaul and reconstruction. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Head of the Oblast State Administration Mykola Paliychuk, Head of the Chief Health Care Administration Liubomyr Malofiy, heads of the reanimation ubnits, and hospital staff members. The unit was consecrated by Rev. Yuri Striltsiv.
For the repairs, UAH 450,000 came from the budget, UAH 100,000 from sponsors, with all staff members donating their one-day wages.
In the words of Mr. Paliychuk, this year the unit will be provided with necessary new equipment, in part, an ALV machine.
