Ukrainian and Italian Doctors Agree on Further Cooperation

May 22, 2009, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko took part in a working meeting between Ukrainian and Italian doctors.

Among the participants of the meeting were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Italy Heorhy Cherniavsky, Head of the Board of Directors of Ukraine 3000 Foundation Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Director of the Medical Programs Department Vira Pavliuk, head physician with L’Ospedale Civile di Brescia Cornelio Coppini, head children’s physician Raffaele Spiazzi, president of the L.I.CO.S. Onlus international cooperation laboratory Alessandro Cali,  head physician with OKHMATDIT Ukrainian Children’s Specialized Hospital Yuri Hladush, head physician with Rivne Oblast Children’s Hospital Vitaly Boyko, and head physician with Zakarpattia Oblast Children’s Hospital Yelizaveta Birov.

As a result of the meeting, documents were signed declaring the parties’ intentions for further cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian children’s patient care institutions.

Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Foundation members are in Italy on a working trip on an invitation from L.I.CO.S. Onlus international cooperation laboratory. Earlier they have visited L’Ospedale Civile di Brescia hospital in Brescia.
