Sumy Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

September 18, 2009, Sumy Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital celebrated the 20^th anniversary of its foundation.

The head of the Oblast Council, deputy head of the oblast state administration, deputy mayor, deputy director of the Department for Maternity, Childhood, and Health Centers sent their words of gratitude and respect to the hospital’s staff, along with the Minister for Health and Head Physician at the Ministry for Health Care.

Representatives of charitable foundations and organizations, cooperating with the hospital on the long-term basis, have come to greet the staff members. The expert with the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s medical programs department conveyed greetings from Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko, and the head of the council of the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee brought her personal greetings and an ultrasonograph.

Doctors from neighbor oblasts also came to greet their colleagues.

Also present were numerous guests who have been doing what they could to help the hospital since its foundation, and heads of the oblast’s patient care and disease prevention centers.

The best workers were awarded diplomas and money bonuses.

A concert was given in the honor of the hospital’s workers. The Medicine and health oblast newspaper’s special issue copies were distributed among those present, narrating about the hospital’s history and attainments.

The celebration was crowned with fireworks.

September 14-18, a series of events was held for the little patients: the World through Child’s Eyes children’s works display, Internal Ministry’s K9 in Sumy oblast working dogs show, In All Sincerity show program with the participation of McDonald’s stuff members, a puppet show, and gifts giving.
