January 11, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States of America Oleh Shamshur decorated President of the International Medical Education Foundation John Wood with the Order of Merit, third rank, for significant contribution into the development of the Ukrainian-American cooperation in the area of medicine, promoting Ukraine’s international image, and charitable activities.
With the help of the two US organizations he leads, the John Wood Ministry and International Medical Education Foundation, and with the support of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation in Ukraine, Dr. Wood sends a great amount of medical equipment to Ukraine. He also organizes medical trainings for Ukrainian doctors in the USA and American doctors’ visits to Ukraine.
John Wood’s organizations closely cooperate with the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation, in part, on the Hospital to Hospital program.
