The Italian-based L.I.CO.S. Laboratory for International Cooperation was founded April 6, 2005. It is operating in human rights development and children protection and deals with complicated social situations. The organization is involved in international cooperation, providing access to the European Union special funds, national and regional funds, international volunteering, and support to the arts and culture.
L.I.CO.S. and Ukraine 3000 Foundation (within the framework of Hospital to Hospital program) cooperate on the MELO project, envisaging treatment at Italian patient care institutions for children requiring surgical intervention, international volunteer work by medical staff, and institutional cooperation between hospitals through trainings and experience exchange.
