The Board of Trustees of the Volyn Oblast Territorial Medical Association was founded November 15, 2006.

The major objective of the Board of Trustees’ activities is involving non-budget funds to improve the Association’s logistical support. Due to the close cooperation between Volyn Oblast Territorial Medical Association, the Scandinavian Children’s Mission in Ukraine, and Children of Chornobyl Fund, in 2007 sponsor aid was received in the form of a new impulse laser machine for skin diseases treatment to the sum of over UAH 211,000.
In May 2007, with the support of the Scandinavian Children’s Mission in Ukraine the hospital at the Association received bed linen sets for 470 patients (over UAH 23,000), suction for the ICU (UAH 3,600). Besides, over UAH 79,000 was donated additionally to the Children’s Life Protection Foundation. Also, donations have been coming from legal and natural persons.
At present, special aid center, third degree, is being organized at the Volyn Oblast Territorial Medical Association for women with highly complicated pregnancies. This will be a real step forward toward founding the Volyn Oblast Perinatal Center, whose construction started in 2001.
In connection with the death of Head of the Board of Trustees Hanna Mikulska, Deputy Head of the Board Tetiana Zhuravska was temporarily charged with the duties of the Head until a new Head is elected.
