The priority for the Board of Trustees is supplying the hospital with modern medical equipment. With the support of the Board, an ALV system for infants, vacuum electric aspirator (suction), and phototherapy lamp were purchased for newborns’ intensive care to the total of UAH 600,000. Besides, the Board members took an active part in planning the foundation of a newborn’s ICU for 6 beds.
In 2007, a portable ultrasonic diagnostic system with color Doppler was purchased along with the functional diagnostic set (EEG channel, REO, ECG 24-hours monitor), laparoscopic equipment for cystoscopy, medical and donor plasmophoresis with a blood pipelines set, ophthalmologic combine, two reanimation and surgical polifunctional monitors, etc., to the total of UAH 1,500,000 of budget funds.
In connection with adopting the Children’s Oncology State Program, the Board of Trustees has researched the needs regarding medical aid for cancer patients. A tender was held for purchasing luminescence microscope with a picture analyzing system and a microscope with photo output for working in straight-through light after the dark and light field methods for lab tests of patients with hematological pathologies.
To improve patients’ conditions at the Hematology Dpt., the Let’s Help Children and Zaporizhzhia Patriot Fands were involved, who have purchased 6 air conditioners and 5 refrigerators for the department.
Besides, sewage and water-supply system repairs were carried out, as well as heating system at the anesthesiology and intensive care departments. Repairs are underway at the infant care and newborns department, infection boxes, and admission department.
