The Board of Trustees at the Lviv City Community Children’s Hospital was created September 29, 2006.

In the period of the Board’s work has received charitable aid to the total of UAH 335,840.
On St. Nicholas Day and Easter, shows were performed for the children staying at the hospital with the support of the Board of Trustees. During the school vacations, the hospital grounds were refurbished with the financial aid from the Shuval Ltd., Lviv Bank, and Auto Transportation Association: new garden benches, bins, and flowerbeds installed.
The construction of a new building for newborn’s department has been completed, with UAH 500,000 received as a result of municipal bonds emission. The emission was financed completely by Iceland-based investors. The Lviv JSCB was underwriter in this emission, having won a tender among 11 financial bodies. The money was earmarked to finance building and assembly works at the new block.
January 1, 2007, the reorganization of the hospital started after a concept approved by a Lviv City Executive Committee meeting.
June 1, 2006, on the International Children’s Day, the Lviv City Council gave the hospital a Toshiba ultrasonic scanner, expert class, to the total of UAH 734,000. The same day, the Board delivered to the hospital paintings by the winners of the Our City Lviv children’s competition for decoration of the Newborns’ Pathology Block.
Four doctors of various specialties went through training at Austrian and Polish hospitals.
With the support of the Board of Trustees, the Lviv City Community Children’s Hospital short film was shot.
The hospital has won the Halician Knight contest in the Medical Institution of the Year nomination.
After lengthy preparations, the Lviv City Community Children’s Hospital has become the first children’s hospital in Ukraine to go through the accreditation at the Ministry of Health Committee (headed by Head Neonatologist of Ukraine Prof. Shunko) and receive the honorary title of Children-Friendly Hospital.
