The Board of Trustees at the Sumy Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital helped to involve representatives of the community, business, medical workers, and mass media into solving the hospital’s problems.
With the participation of the Board of Trustees, humanitarian aid was distributed among the hospital departments, received from the Triumph of the Heart International Humanitarian Association to the sum of UAH 287,000. With the help of the Blahovest Charitable Fund, a dental unit was purchased for the children’s consultative clinic (UAH 25,000). Members of the Board are controlling the draft of budget and charity funds, checking the need for renovating premises and equipment.
By the initiative and with the participation of the Board members, the International Children’s Day was celebrated at the hospital, featuring a concert, presents for children, and a patrol dogs shoe by local Internal Affairs Department K9. Besides, a sensor room was equipped for children with cerebral palsy (UAH 35,000), a set for color/sensor treatment of children with psycho-neurological disorders. New wards are being refurbished at the diagnostic unit (UAH 58,000).
A joint action was held with the McDonalds Company to raise funds for purchasing a Halter monitor (UAH 105,000).
Due to the Board of Trustees, extra equipment was purchased for playrooms and classrooms at every hospital department. The hospital’s library has received special medical literature and children’s books (187 units).
